UL1642 Battery Safety Tester Projectile Burning Testing Equipment
Battery Burning Tester is suitable for lithium battery , battery pack, mobile phone, notebook computer and other small electronic consumer products battery fire resistance/flammability testing. The main function is to observe a series changes and the impact force size produced by exploding after being heated by flames.
1. Place the test lithium battery or battery pack on a wire mesh, the wire mesh is located on a circular hole with a diameter of 102mm(4 in.). The wire mesh consists of 20 mesh wires per inch with a diameter of 0.017 inches(0.43mm)
2. The wore mesh is placed about 38mm above flame.
3. An octagonal aluminum wire mesh is covered around the sample.The specification of the aluminum wire mesh is as follows: parallel to each other on both sides of distance(610±10)mm, height(305±5)mm.Aluminum wire mesh specifications for aluminum wire diameter 0.25mm,mesh number 16~ 18.
4. Make sure the test specimen is heated on the wire until it explodes or the lithium battery is ignited and burned up.
Test results: after the test, components of the battery(except dust products) or the battery as a whole shall not penetrate the aluminum mesh.
