EN 366, ISO 6942 Protective Clothing Against Radiant Heat Testing Equipment

 

Description:

 

This Protection Against Radiant Heat Test Equipment is designed according to ISO6942 and EN366.

The test equipment has a user-friendly, intuitive, Windows-based application that provides a complete thermal control, fault detection and data recording. RPP system configuration and burn prediction also included in the Thermo DAC.

User-defined test allows the operator to define non-standard test conditions and custom tolerances. You can view multiple graphs display with zoom feature to view specific conditions in details.

Real-time statistics can be applied to the test data within any user selected time range.

This Protection Against Radiant Heat Test Equipment is used for performance evaluation against heat and flame protective clothing when faced with short flame thermal motion. Imposed certain calorie density (80KW/m ² ± 5%) of heat, under the specimens that composed of protective clothing. When measuring the growth rate of heat through over time (time: seconds, temperature: ºC) by heat meter that installed on test sample, to determine the insulation properties of sample materials.

This Protection Against Radiant Heat Test Equipment is also applied to measure the fabric of single-layer or multi-layer under high temperature thermal radiation properties, and fire-retardant insulation of plates.

EN 366: Protective clothing. Protection against heat and fire. Method of test: evaluation of materials and material assemblies when exposed to a source of radiant heat.

ISO 6942: specifies two complementary methods (method A and method B) for determining the behavior of materials for heat protective clothing subjected to heat radiation.

15, According to ISO 6942-2002 (EN366) standards, there are two methods to test the thermal protection.

The second method (B method) is a calorimeter inside a specimen back, when heat conduction from samples back, recording temperature trends over time, in order to determine the level of thermal radiation transfer.
