Introduction:


Smoke Box (NBS Fire Tester Smoke Density Chamber For Plastic) measures optical density of smoke generated from test sample when test sample of certain thickness is exposed to heat source(2.5W/cm2, 2KW/m2 using by ASTM E 662 furnace) or fire in a chamber.

 

Using ISO 5659 conical radiant heat furnace, we can change the heating condition from 10KW/m2 to 5KW/m2 or 70kW/m2 according to different requirements.


Details:

The main principle of smoke density measurement is that in a specific space, cables or materials generate smoke under specific burning on radiating conditions. and the beam will decay after passing throuah the smoke. Measure the liaht transmittance of the beam and calculate the specific optical density And smoke density
