This SPI Flammability Tester is a dedicated on-site quality control instrument for manufacturers producing vinyl plastic film and vinyl apparel materials. It implements the CFR 16 Part 1611 regulation of the US Flammable Fabrics Act, enabling your factory to complete flammability and burning rate inspection without outsourcing samples to external third-party laboratories. It quickly screens unqualified vinyl film batches before shipment, reduces third-party testing costs, and shortens inspection cycles.
The test principle is straightforward: the sample is fixed at a 45° angle and exposed to the standard #22 needle flame, while a photoelectric sensor automatically tracks and records the burning time over the 6-inch test distance. The average burning speed from 5 longitudinal and 5 transverse specimens must not exceed 1.2 in/s to meet compliance requirements. The machine is engineered for frequent batch QC work — the optimized sample clamping structure is friendly for frontline inspectors, and the non-contact photoelectric sensor will not wear out even after hundreds of daily tests, supporting long-term heavy-duty production inspection.
